Laura Yale

Regional Manager

Laura Yale, MHA, joined COPE Health Solutions in December 2022 as a Regional Manager. In her current role, she manages the COPE Health Scholar Program at hospitals across Washington State including Providence Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, MultiCare Tacoma General and Allenmore Hospitals, MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, and MultiCare Deaconess and Valley Hospitals in Spokane.

Mrs. Yale participated in the Clinical Care Extender Program through COPE Health Solutions at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, California from 2010-2012. Prior to joining COPE Health Solutions as an employee, Mrs. Yale worked as Manager of Medical Student Surgical Education for the University of Washington School of Medicine. In this role, she managed all day to day operations of the medical student program in the Department of Surgery, serving approximately 400 medical students annually across 40 training sites in a five state region. During her time in this role, Mrs. Yale was instrumental in the restructuring and emergency adaptation of surgical education at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and successfully launched a virtual education component to augment the reduced clinical experience for third year medical students completing their required clerkships in surgery. This implementation allowed clinical surgery students at UW to continue the progression of their medical education without having to delay graduation from medical school due to significant reduction in clinical hours as a result of students being removed from clinical training across the country. In addition to providing program support for the School of Medicine, Mrs. Yale was also an active member of the Association for Surgical Education, serving as Vice Chair of the Committee for Coordinators of Surgical Education where she worked with surgical education coordinators and managers at medical schools across the country to improve committee outreach and create a national network of support for surgical education staff in 3rd and 4th year medical education.

Mrs. Yale graduated cum laude from Colorado State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and Management with specializations in Emergency Management and Healthcare Informatics. She also completed a graduate degree from Colorado State University earning a Master of Healthcare Administration and Management with specializations in organizational leadership and change management.

Mrs. Yale has a passion for education, with particular focus on minimizing barriers to educational programs and supporting non-traditional students in education and professional exploration in health care.
