Jack Berling

Senior Consultant

Jack Berling, joined COPE Health Solutions as a Senior Consultant with more than 5 years of experience in health care financial and economic consulting specifically with health plans and care delivery organizations. He works under the Value-based Contracting finance team where he focuses on creating and developing financial tools and integrating them into the ARC suite of tools.

Prior to joining COPE Health Solutions, Mr. Berling spent a year at Optum as a Sr. Economic Consultant where he worked for the National Affordability Analytic Solutions team. At Optum his role was to help develop and improve reporting capabilities for affordability initiatives. Prior to that he spent 4 years working as an Economic Consultant for UnitedHealthcare working with the New York Medicaid market. During his time, he helped identify potential high cost and utilization drivers negatively impacting the plans financial performance. More specifically he worked on growth models for potential new business opportunities, Rate analysis to determine where the plan needed to improve based off how they were funded, finding data anomalies that helped business processes or helped flag potential network issues that needed remediation.

Mr. Berling earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
